Miracle Light International Church
What we believe
At Miracle Light International Church, we are rooted in the Word of God and guided by the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe in the eternal truths revealed in Scripture and affirm the following as our core articles of faith:
1. The Holy Trinity
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal, co-eternal, and inseparable, yet distinct in role and function, working in perfect unity.
Scripture: Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; John 14:16–17.
2. God the Father
We believe that God the Father is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. He is sovereign, holy, merciful, loving, and just, revealing His plan of salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Scripture: Genesis 1:1; Psalm 103:13; Isaiah 64:8; John 3:16.
3. Jesus Christ the Son
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for our sins and rose again bodily on the third day. He ascended into heaven and will return in power and glory to judge the living and the dead.
Scripture: John 1:1, 14; Luke 1:30–35; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:9–11; Revelation 22:12.
4. The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is God, the Comforter, Teacher, and Guide, who indwells all believers. The Spirit convicts the world of sin, empowers the church for service, equips believers with spiritual gifts and produces Christlike character (the fruit of the Spirit).
Scripture: John 14:26; John 16:7–8; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4–7; Galatians 5:22–23.
5. The Bible
We believe the Holy Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. The Bible is the final rule of faith and practice for every believer.
Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 119:105; Matthew 24:35.
6. Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is the gift of God, not earned by works, but received by repentance and trust in Christ’s finished work on the cross.
Scripture: Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9–10; Titus 3:5; John 14:6.
7. The Church
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, made up of all born-again believers, called to worship God, build up one another in love, and proclaim the Gospel to the nations.
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:12–13, 27; Ephesians 4:11–13; Matthew 28:19–20; Hebrews 10:24–25.
8. Baptism & Communion
We believe in water baptism by immersion as an outward testimony of an inward change, symbolizing death to sin and new life in Christ. We also believe in the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion) as a sacred act of remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice and anticipation of His return.
Scripture: Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3–4; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26.
9. Eternal Life
We believe in the resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. Those who are saved will inherit eternal life with God, while those who reject Christ will face eternal separation from Him.
Scripture: John 5:28–29; Daniel 12:2; Matthew 25:46; Revelation 20:11–15.
10. Christian Living
We believe that believers are called to live holy lives, guided by the Holy Spirit, demonstrating the love of Christ and being witnesses of the Kingdom of God in the world.
Scripture: 1 Peter 1:15–16; Galatians 2:20; Matthew 5:16; Romans 12:1–2.
